This is the album artwork for my band The Paradigm Complex's upcoming second EP.
The record is due for release next week, I'll post links in my journal. The actual recording process was hilarious - we managed to break the studio's ProTools rig by having too many tracks (maxed out and it crashed repeatedly), and due to schedule issues I ended up recording all the drums in one night.
It's a 24 minute song.
Anyway, the artwork is highly abstract and explores a lot of the themes of the record; I'll let you figure them out when you hear it

Shame about your studio travails. They happen to everyone, at least you didn't lose any recordings. Were you recording with the mbox? It's notorious for having latency issues. You have to freeze/bounce all your tracks to reduce the number of realtime effects running.
Anyway, you've got enough to worry about without adding that to your list!
Influences are fairly diverse - a lot of people compare us favourably to the Mars Volta, but as a band we're really inspired by film scores, latin music, jazz and generally creating a unique sound... As a drummer I generally just try to play stuff which interests me; there's a five minute improvised section in the middle of the record which we played live, and that's always a chance to let loose and give the listener an insight into our creative process. A bit wanky but I think it's nice to have; we really want the album to sound like something people played (even to the extent of leaving some mistakes in there).
