an illustration for the RPG Shattered.
This was a real challenge to paint - multiple characters in a bright desert environment required a lot of preparation and I still had several issues with poses, space and lighting at various points of the process. I kept the style loose for this, didn't want to go into too much detail and I hope that it works (I've looked at it too long now).
Huge thanks Jason Rainville for some excellent feedback which pretty much saved the image. I can't stress enough the value of feedback; having some experienced eyes on the thing you can't even see anymore can make a world of difference

i feel respsect and somewhat pity for the central figure. even though he had been brutally ingured in the past (no hands) he still can fight good enough to present trouble for a group of hunters.
